Founder and Partner
Mark Gottlieb founded MetroGroup in 1997 with a pursuit for creative yet fundamentally-based retail development.
Through his leadership, vision and entrepreneurial spirit, the company has developed 5 million square feet of commercial development throughout the Southeast. Mark’s relationships with premier retailers, combined with his creative development approach, position MetroGroup as an accomplished real estate company respected for unique design and quality product.
In 2020, Mark became Franchise Owner for Office Evolution Roswell. The facility offers sole proprietors and small businesses flexible workspace solutions, including private offices, coworking space, drop-in work areas and conference rooms, serving the Roswell community and surrounding neighborhoods. Mark is responsible for the company’s overall health and growth in this market.
In 2013, Mark joined forces with Frank Hall to launch Metro-Hall Retail to deliver on-point and on-task development, construction and advisory solutions to retailers and service providers.
Vice President of Construction and Development
As Vice President of Construction and Development, Zach Middlebrooks oversees the development and construction process and identifies potential sites for future development opportunities.
From due diligence to a job well done, Zach manages each project with proven skill and a refined approach. He puts his real estate acumen to work to identify sites and their best use, formulate development budgets, manage fiscal accountability and facilitate the zoning process.
Prior to joining MetroGroup in 2002, Zach was Project Manager for an Atlanta-based general contractor where he managed new construction projects including banks, offices and restaurants in addition to several renovation projects. He graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in building construction.
