37,000 s.f. shopping center
Rome, GA
Development is underway for Berry Crossing, a neighborhood retail center set to
bring service amenities and popular eateries to Rome, Ga. Anchored by CVS/pharmacy,
the neighborhood center is situated at the southwest quadrant of North Rome Connector
and Martha Berry Boulevard / US Highway 27. CVS/pharmacy is open with development
continuing on the remaining retail components.
MetroGroup acquired the 5.8 acre site from Berry College, a sale that represents
the first commercial site sold by the institution in 30 years.
In addition to CVS/pharmacy, the 37,000-square-foot development also features Wachovia
Bank with plans to develop an additional 20,000 square feet retail and restaurant
tenants.
With population figures that top 55,000 residents within a five-mile radius, the
neighborhood center benefits from a captive retail audience of employees and students
traveling to and from nearby facilities, such as Redmond Regional Medical Center,
Berry College as well as Rome's primary employers.
